Your equipment works hard, and what you put into it matters. Using the right lubricants can help protect critical components, reduce wear, extend service intervals, and keep your equipment performing the way it was designed to.
Genuine New Holland Lubricants are engineered and tested specifically to meet the demands of New Holland equipment. New Holland uses its own internal technical standards, with tighter tolerances than many typical lubricant specifications, to help provide longer component life, dependable protection, and reliable performance.
Lubricants have an important job. They need to perform under heat, pressure, heavy loads, changing temperatures, and long operating hours.
New Holland offers a complete lineup of fluids designed to help protect your equipment from the engine to the transmission and beyond.
New Holland Engine Oil is formulated to provide excellent oxidation resistance, helping protect engines during high-heat and high-pressure operation.
One of the biggest advantages is the potential for extended drain intervals, which can reduce maintenance time and expenses. New Holland notes that competing engine oils that do not meet its specifications can reduce recommended drain intervals by as much as 50% in engine-oil comparisons.
New Holland Engine Oil also provides:
Protection against corrosion, deposits, and premature wear
Strong shear stability
Performance in both newer and older New Holland equipment
Compatibility with on-highway and off-highway engines
Reliable protection during demanding operating conditions
New Holland recommends following the drain intervals and lubricant specifications listed in your equipment's operator's manual.
Hydraulic and transmission systems depend on consistent lubrication to transfer power and protect components.
New Holland Hydraulic Transmission Oil Premium provides an industry-leading 1% water tolerance along with strong stability and torque transfer. It is designed to deliver reliable protection and performance across a wide range of operating temperatures.
CNH owns the formulation and specifications for Hydraulic Transmission Oil Premium and partners with Shell to blend the product according to those requirements.
Keeping an engine at the proper operating temperature is another important part of protecting your investment.
New Holland's Extended-Life OAT Coolant is designed to provide high-temperature protection, even during extreme operating conditions. It has been evaluated through New Holland's bench and field testing and can provide a service life of up to 4,000 hours or four years without a booster or extender, depending on the application and recommended maintenance schedule.
Sometimes the smallest maintenance item can make a big difference.
New Holland Multi-Purpose Grease is formulated with extreme-pressure and anti-wear properties to protect hardworking components. It is MAT approved to meet the demands of New Holland equipment and contains multiple additives designed to enhance performance.
Regular greasing helps protect moving parts from wear, especially in equipment that operates in dusty, wet, muddy, or demanding agricultural environments.
Temperature can have a major impact on lubricant performance.
Cold temperatures cause oil to thicken, which can make it harder for the lubricant to reach critical components. New Holland notes that synthetic oils can provide improved cold-flow characteristics. For example, a full synthetic 0W-40 engine oil generally flows better in cold temperatures than a 15W-40 while still providing the necessary protection once the engine reaches operating temperature.
Choosing the correct product and viscosity for your machine, application, and operating conditions is important, which is why you should always refer to your operator's manual or talk with your dealer before making a change.
Oil and lubricants may seem like a small part of equipment ownership, but they play a major role in protecting some of the most expensive components on your machine.
Using fluids designed and approved for your equipment can help:
Reduce premature component wear
Protect against heat, corrosion, and contaminants
Maintain reliable hydraulic and transmission performance
Extend appropriate maintenance intervals
Reduce downtime
Help your equipment perform reliably for years to come
