AG-Industrial Announces Strategic Partnership with Forrester Farm Equipment

RISING SUN, MD – AG-Industrial, Inc., a trusted agricultural and construction equipment dealership serving the Mid-Atlantic since 1976, today announced that majority ownership of the company has been acquired by Forrester Farm Equipment, Ltd., a respected, family-owned dealer with locations in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

This strategic partnership marks an exciting new chapter in AG-Industrial’s 50-year history. The acquisition unites seven dealership locations across four states, strengthening resources, expanding reach, and enhancing the ability to serve customers with the industry-leading equipment and dependable support they have come to expect.

Founded in 1976, AG-Industrial has built its reputation on integrity, service, and long-standing customer relationships. This transition builds upon more than a century of combined experience between the two organizations and positions AG-Industrial for continued growth, innovation, and long-term stability within the New Holland dealer network.

“Both of our companies have built legacies rooted in trust, service, and hard work,” offered Forrester Farm Equipment President Cory Forrester. He continued, “We’re honoring that heritage while positioning ourselves – and our valued customers – for sustainable growth and long-term success. We welcome the AG-Industrial team and customers to the Forrester family and look forward to a bright future.”

Under Forrester Farm Equipment’s leadership, AG-Industrial will continue to operate under the same name, with the same dedicated team and commitment to customer satisfaction. All existing warranties, service agreements, and operations will remain intact to ensure a seamless experience for customers throughout the transition.

“Our goal has always been to ensure that AG-Industrial continues to grow and serve its customers with excellence,” said Terry Greenleaf, President for AG-Industrial, Inc. “Forrester Farm Equipment’s reputation for outstanding service and their deep understanding of the New Holland brand make them an ideal fit to carry AG-Industrial forward.”

AG-Industrial expressed appreciation for their previous parent company, emphasizing that this transition supports long-term strength within the New Holland dealer network and preserves the legacy of customer care that has defined both dealerships over the last fifty years.

AG-Industrial Celebrates 50 Years of Service, Growth, and Commitment to Agriculture

AG-Industrial, Inc. is proud to celebrate its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of dedication to agriculture, customer service, and community throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

AG-Industrial was founded in 1976 in Rising Sun, Maryland by Edgar Greenleaf. The dealership began with trusted product lines including Allis Chalmers, New Holland, and New Idea. Just one year after opening, the original facility was lost to a devastating fire. Rather than slowing progress, the setback strengthened the company’s resolve, leading to the construction of a new facility at the Route 273 location. Continued growth through the next decade created the need for additional space, and in 1989 AG-Industrial moved to its present location along U.S. Route 1 in Rising Sun. In the early 1990s, the business expanded its offerings further with the acquisition of the Ford Tractor line following its merger with New Holland.

AG-Industrial continued to expand its footprint and strengthen industry partnerships. In 1994, the company formed an alliance with Wengers of Myerstown, a well-known used farm equipment and parts dealer. Pictured Above: AG-Industrial in the mid-1990s.  A pivotal chapter in AG-Industrial’s history began in 2005, when Terry Greenleaf took over ownership from his father, Edgar Greenleaf. Building on the strong foundation that had been established, Terry focused on strategic growth, customer experience, and long-term relationships—helping shape AG-Industrial into the multi-location, award-winning dealership it is today. Pictured Above: AG-Industrial President Terry Greenleaf (left) with his father Edgar Greenleaf (right) founding President of AG-Industrial, Inc. in 1979 Under Terry Greenleaf’s leadership in 2010, AG-Industrial expanded into Pennsylvania with the acquisition of ABC Groff, Inc. in New Holland, PA, an established New Holland dealership that had served customers since 1890. Further growth followed in September 2014 with the acquisition of Charles S. Snyder in Tamaqua, PA, and in February 2019, AG-Industrial opened its fourth location in Dover, Delaware.

Today, AG-Industrial stands as one of the top New Holland dealers on the East Coast. The company has been a consistent recipient of New Holland’s prestigious President’s Award for outstanding customer service, recognition that reflects a company-wide commitment to customer satisfaction. In 2023, that commitment was further honored when New Holland Agriculture named AG-Industrial the #1 Dealer in Customer Satisfaction in North America, recognizing the dealership as the top-performing dealer nationwide for overall customer satisfaction. As AG-Industrial celebrates 50 years in business, the milestone reflects a legacy built on resilience, leadership, and service. From its beginnings as a single-location dealership to a respected four-location operation spanning three states, AG-Industrial’s success is rooted in strong family leadership, trusted relationships, and a continued commitment to supporting the agricultural community, now and for generations to come. 10 Benefits of Adding a Compact New Holland Tractor to Your Farm

Farmers are constantly on the lookout for ways to boost efficiency, reduce labor costs, and increase productivity. One of the smartest investments for achieving these goals is adding a compact New Holland tractor to your farm. These versatile machines are designed to handle a wide range of tasks, making them an indispensable asset for farms of all sizes.

Here’s how a compact New Holland tractor can revolutionize your farming operations.

1. Versatility in Daily Operations

Compact New Holland tractors are built for flexibility. Whether you need to till fields, mow grass, haul loads, clear snow, or handle landscaping tasks, these tractors can do it all. With a wide range of compatible attachments such as front loaders, backhoes, seeders, and plows, one machine can handle multiple tasks, reducing the need for additional equipment.

2. Space-Saving Design

Unlike larger tractors, compact New Holland tractors are designed with space in mind. Their smaller size allows them to maneuver easily in tight spaces, such as barns, orchards, or greenhouses. This makes them perfect for farms with limited acreage or operations requiring precision work.

3. Fuel Efficiency and Cost Savings

Compact New Holland tractors are engineered to be fuel-efficient, helping you cut down on operational costs. Their efficient engines are designed to deliver power without excessive fuel consumption, making them both environmentally friendly and economical.

4. Ease of Use

Farmers of all experience levels can appreciate the user-friendly design of New Holland tractors. Equipped with ergonomic controls, comfortable seating, and intuitive technology, these tractors make long hours in the field less taxing. Many models also come with advanced features like hydrostatic transmissions and power steering, further enhancing ease of use.

5. Increased Productivity

Adding a compact tractor to your farm significantly increases productivity by reducing the time and labor required for various tasks. For example, loading and hauling materials manually can take hours, but with a front loader attachment, the same job can be completed in minutes.

6. Durability and Reliability

New Holland is a trusted name in agricultural equipment, known for manufacturing durable and reliable machines. Compact tractors from New Holland are built to withstand heavy use and tough conditions, ensuring they remain a valuable part of your farm for years to come.

7. Cost-Effective Investment

Compact tractors are more affordable than their larger counterparts, making them an excellent choice for farmers on a budget. Additionally, their versatility eliminates the need to purchase multiple pieces of specialized equipment, further reducing overall costs.

8. Adaptability Across Farm Sizes

Whether you run a small hobby farm, a mid-sized operation, or a large-scale agricultural enterprise, a compact New Holland tractor can adapt to your specific needs. Its ability to perform a variety of tasks makes it a great addition to farms of any scale.

9. Enhanced Farm Safety

New Holland tractors come equipped with safety features such as rollover protection systems (ROPS), seat belts, and excellent visibility. These features help reduce the risk of accidents, ensuring the safety of both the operator and others on the farm.

10. Resale Value

New Holland tractors are known for retaining their value over time. Should you decide to upgrade or change your equipment, your compact tractor can fetch a good resale price, making it a sound financial decision.

Investing in a compact New Holland tractor is a game-changer for any farm. Its versatility, efficiency, and ease of use make it an invaluable tool for tackling daily tasks and boosting overall productivity. Whether you’re managing a small plot or a sprawling farm, adding this powerhouse machine to your equipment lineup is a step toward greater success and sustainability.
